Vice Principal Indicted on Child Porn, Sex Charges
A Palmdale elementary school vice principal was indicted Friday on federal charges of using the Internet to send child pornography and soliciting sex from an undercover officer pretending to be a 13-year-old girl.
According to a government affidavit, Clifford Doty, 40, carried on a lengthy, sexually explicit e-mail correspondence with a San Bernardino County sheriff’s detective who posed online as a blond, hazel-eyed and sexually precocious teenager.
Doty was arrested last week when he drove to San Bernardino to meet the girl.
Doty, who was placed on paid administrative leave from his job at Quail Valley Elementary School, is scheduled to be arraigned Dec. 4 in Los Angeles federal court.
