Award-winning author and Laguna Beach resident Theodore Taylor will visit Arnold Elementary School today. Taylor will discuss his children’s book “The Cay” and its sequel “Timothy of the Cay” with fourth-, fifth- and sixth-graders.

“The Cay” is the winner of 14 literary awards, including the prestigious Lewis Carroll Shelf Award. The book follows the journey of a prejudiced 11-year-old stranded on an island with a black man after his boat is torpedoed.
