Minor Earthquake Near Newport Beach
A minor earthquake rattled Orange County on Wednesday, authorities said.
The 2:21 p.m. quake, which was centered just north of Upper Newport Bay, registered a magnitude of 2.5, said Hugo Rico, a Caltech seismologist.
A slight aftershock occurred in the same area at 2:44 p.m., authorities said.
