Gang members fired shots at a parked car in Reseda Friday night, police said, critically injuring a 2-month-old girl inside.
No one else was injured in the attack, and police said they did not know of a motive.
The shooting occurred about 7:20 p.m. in the 7100 block of Lindley Avenue, said Los Angeles Police Officer Don Cox. The car with the baby inside was parked at the curb when a white-and-tan Chevrolet Blazer pulled up and occupants fired into the car, Cox said.
Cox said three or four young men were in the Blazer, and at least two adults were in the parked car.
Officials at Northridge Hospital Medical Center, where police said the infant was taken, declined comment.
