* The line: Kansas City by 4

* Story line: The Seahawks bring the NFL’s best winning percentage in Monday Night Football history (.706) into Arrowhead Stadium, where they are a woeful 2-16 since 1981. The Chiefs have won seven of their last 10 Monday night games at home.

* Key matchups: The emergence of Chiefs’ rookie wide receiver Sylvester Morris has given Elvis Grbac a dependable secondary weapon when opposing defenses double up on his favorite receiver, tight end Tony Gonzalez. The Seahawk defense will try not to show its hand too quickly so as to confuse Grbac, who has been reading opposing coverages well. Seattle running back Ricky Watters has 275 yards rushing and five touchdowns (four rushing, one receiving) in his last three games against the Chiefs. The Seahawk offensive line has given up four or more sacks in each of the last three games.

* Injury report: SEA--Wide receiver Derrick Mayes (foot, questionable). KC--Running back Donnell Bennett (foot, questionable).
