Agoura 23, Newbury Park 20--Matt Smooke kicked a 25-yard field goal with 10.7 seconds to play as the Chargers came from behind at Agoura.

Smooke’s kick capped an eight-play, 72-yard drive.

Agoura’s Chris Denove threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Grossbart, then ran for the two-point conversion to tie the score, 20-20, with 5:36 to play.

Newbury Park (2-3, 1-1) drove to the Agoura 17-yard line with 2:45 to play, but Matt Butcher’s 33-yard field-goal attempt was blocked.

Brad Altman of Agoura (3-2, 1-1) rushed for 197 yards in 27 carries. Denove completed 15 of 19 passes for 190 yards and three touchdowns.

Sophomore Ryan Lombardo completed 13 of 24 for 205 yards and two touchdowns.
