LEADING MEN
MICHAEL VICK
Quarterback, Virginia Tech
As he has shown in the past, Vick can do a lot in a small amount of time. That was his approach in a 48-20 victory over West Virginia on Thursday as he helped lead the Hokies to 21 points in a span of 6:06 in the third quarter.
Season: 70 carries, 541 yards, 8 TDs;
55 of 107 passing, 868 yards, 6 TDs
Next: at Syracuse, Saturday

ERIC CROUCH
Quarterback, Nebraska
Has there been a better leader this season in the face of adversity? Crouch didn’t have to deal with pressure in a 56-3 win over Texas Tech, but he certainly didn’t do anything to hurt his posture.
Season: 91 carries, 530 yards, 10 TDs;
45 of 90 passing, 752 yards, 9 TDs
Next: at Tulsa, Saturday

CHRIS WEINKE
Quarterback, Florida State
A school-record 536 yards and five touchdown passes highlighted Weinke’s day, but it was against Duke after all. Weinke has more than 1,000 yards in the last two games.
Season: 163 of 260, 2,510 yards, 21 TDs
Next: Virginia, Saturday
*
DREW BREES
Quarterback, Purdue
Whereas Weinke had the yards, Brees won a huge game and still put up good numbers--22 of 40 for 239 yards and five touchdowns. Just when you thought he was out of the race, he pulls himself back in.
Season: 180 of 292, 2,169 yards, 17 TDs
Next: at Wisconsin, Saturday
