Hope International to Build Arena

Share

Hope International intends to use the bulk of a $5.25-million grant from Las Vegas businessman Stan Fulton to build an on-campus arena.

The facility, part of a new $6-million student center, is expected to open during the 2001-02 school year, according to Erik Stauber, the campus’ marketing director. It would initially seat about 2,000, but could be expanded with additional funding, Stauber said.

It is the second donation Hope International has received from Fulton, a retired manufacturer of electronic equipment for gaming devices. A $300,000 gift several years ago was used to purchase several buildings at Hope International’s campus on Nutwood Avenue, across the street from Cal State Fullerton.
