Fruitless to Interest Teens in Tasteless Produce

One reason teens don’t eat any fruit is that it has no taste (“For Some Teens, Warnings Carry No Weight,” Oct. 2). The produce sold in supermarkets has one attribute: shelf life. Walk by a stand filled with peaches, nectarines or apricots and there is absolutely no smell. Bite into a peach and there is no taste, just cardboard. At least fast food has taste.
