No. 4 Edison (5-1, 1-0) vs. No. 2 Los Alamitos (6-0, 1-0)
7 TONIGHT LONG BEACH VETERANS STADIUM
Edison is trying to win its first league title since 1990, while Los Alamitos is going for its third in a row. Darryl Poston has rushed for 837 yards and 11 touchdowns. Los Alamitos’ tandem of Adam Nauta, who has 507 yards and eight touchdowns, and Joe Garcia (227 yards, seven TDs) has been nearly as successful. The quarterback play of Edison’s Richard Schwartz and Los Alamitos’ Mike Catalano is practically even. The key is defense--and that’s the primary reason Edison, which began the season ranked No. 2 in Orange County and the Sunset League favorite, has been supplanted by Los Alamitos.
