Transit Agency Is Honored for Web Site
The Ventura County Transportation Commission won first place for its Web site at the American Public Transportation Assn. annual convention.
The county was competing against hundreds of entrants from public transit agencies throughout the United States.
“We won for having the best interactive Web site,” said Vic Kamhi, the commission’s director of transit programs. “It is very easy to use, and it has a nice . . . appearance.”
He said the agency didn’t expect to win, because the information on the site, such as showing people where to catch buses, seems so basic. “But after seeing other Web sites, we saw that ours was much better,” he said.
The Web site can be accessed at https://www.goventura.org.
