Police Identify Boy Who Was Killed
The 15-year-old Pacoima boy killed Sunday afternoon in a gang-related shooting was identified by police as Andres Reyes.
The teenager was shot about 4:45 p.m. near Hubert H. Humphrey Memorial Park, said Det. Frank Bishop of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division.
“He was involved in an argument with two other males in a vehicle,” Bishop said.
The boy approached the car, argued with its occupants and was shot, said Bishop, who added that they were rival gang members.
The car is believed to be a black two-door Oldsmobile or Buick. Police have yet to identify anyone as a suspect, Bishop said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Foothill homicide detectives at (818) 834-3102 or (818) 756-8863.
