Neither victim was identified. The injured man, who was driving the car, was airlifted to UCLA Medical Center with severe burns, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident occurred about 6:20 p.m. in the 24700 block of Mulholland Highway. The car struck the pole and flipped over, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. John Jones of the Lost Hills station. No other car was involved, he said.
