LA HABRA
The La Habra Police Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint for drivers on Friday as part of safety procedures for the upcoming holidays.
The checkpoint to find motorists driving under the influence is the first of a few planned for the next couple of months. A police spokesperson said there would be extra patrols on Tuesday, Halloween night, but no checkpoints. On Halloween in 1994, La Habra Police Officer Michael Orsonio was killed by a drunk driver.
