Running back Stephen Davis has agreed to a multiyear contract extension with the Washington Redskins, the team said.

Terms of the extension weren’t disclosed, but the Washington Post reported that the deal was worth about $90 million over nine seasons, including a $6.5-million signing bonus.

Davis was designated the Redskins’ franchise player and held out of training camp for two days in July. He then signed a one-year contract worth $3.5 million and both sides agreed to work out a long-term deal.
