At the UC Irvine cross-country invitational:

UC Irvine wins women’s title--The Anteaters had five runners in the top 20 to take first place with 50 points at Central Park in Huntington Beach. Irvine’s Kareen Nilsson ran the 5,000-meter course in 18 minutes 36 seconds to take second behind Arizona State’s Briana Torres (18:30). Julie Manson took third in 18:48 for the 25th-ranked Anteaters. The Irvine men finished fifth.
