Free Parking Marks Airport Anniversary
Parking at John Wayne Airport on Saturday will be free to the public in recognition of the 10th anniversary of the Thomas F. Riley Terminal.
Photographs and model airplanes depicting how aviation evolved in Orange County and how it might look in the future will be available for viewing at the airport’s upper departure level, said Nghia Nguyen, airport spokeswoman.
In addition, the airport and airport businesses will be handing out complimentary gifts such as luggage tags to passengers and the public for their support and patronage.
The airport’s first terminal was built in 1967.
