Brea Man Accused in 2 Sexual Assaults 2 Years Apart
A Brea man has been arrested for allegedly raping two women, giving closure to an ongoing investigation that has spanned two years, police officials said Friday.
Robert W. Bradford, 38, was charged with multiple felony counts related to the rapes, one of which occurred Sept. 1, 1998, and the latest on Aug. 12.
According to police, in each case the rapist entered the victim’s apartment, awakened her and raped her. He is being charged with two counts of forceable rape, one count of forced oral copulation, burglary and assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
The 1998 rape, which took place in a Brea apartment complex, set a police investigation in motion. The Aug. 12 rape, which also occurred in Brea, gave police additional information that led to the arrest of Bradford.
Bradford was transported to the Orange County Jail, where he was being held without bail pending his arraignment.
