Denver quarterback Brian Griese, the NFL’s top-rated passer, has partially torn cartilage in his throwing shoulder that makes him questionable for Sunday’s game against Kansas City.

Griese was injured when driven to the ground by an Oakland defender early in the second quarter of the Broncos’ 33-24 victory. It was the same play that produced a cut on Griese’s chin that required four stitches.
