Boy Killed in Raid

* Re “Boy, 11, Killed by Police in Modesto Drug Raid,” Sept. 15:
I was heartbroken to read the story of the 11-year-old boy who was accidentally shot to death during a raid on an alleged drug lab. I read that the father was arrested on a charge of trafficking in drugs. In my humble opinion, there is no better case for the application of the felony murder rule than a situation such as this appears to be: The boy’s father should be charged with the death of his son if illegal and immoral actions on his part were the cause of the raid which led to the boy’s death. Are we going to get tough on crime or just keep talking about it?
