3-Year-Old’s Arms Severed, Reattached
Neighbors in Milnor, N.D., opened a savings account for a 3-year-old boy who lost his arms in a farming accident and underwent 13 hours of surgery to have them reattached. Parker Sebens was reported in critical condition at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, Minn. Doctors could not immediately determine whether the operation was successful. The boy’s arms were caught in a grain auger, which is used to transfer grain into trucks or storage bins. His father, Mitch Sebens, was using the auger to move grain from a bin into his pickup, a deputy said. Sebens was turning off the machine before going to lunch when Parker may have stumbled and fallen into the auger, the deputy said.
