DANA POINT
Mel Pierce, a 25-year Dana Point volunteer firefighter, will share stories and color slides of the town’s most dramatic fires at the Dana Point Historical Society’s meeting tonight.
The Dana Point resident served in the 1950s and ‘60s, said Margie Ehrhart, a historical society volunteer.
“Those are the days when the fire bell would ring all over town and the local heroes would drop their professional duties to head for the firehouse,” she said.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at South Shores Church, 32712 Crown Valley Parkway. Information: (949) 248-8121.
