Architecture

Southern California architecture is a hot topic these days, especially when it involves projects ranging from trendy live/work studios to residential housing in historic areas. What kinds of spaces we’ll be living and working in, and how best to mix old buildings with new structures in these quaint locations are among the broad issues a panel of Southern California architects, urban planners and architectural historians will address in “Contemporary Architecture in Historic Districts” at the Grand Central Art Center Theater. Los Angeles architect Richard Corsini will moderate the public discussion.* “Contemporary Architecture in Historic Districts,” a public panel discussion, Grand Central Art Center Theater, 125 N. Broadway, Santa Ana. 10 a.m.-noon. Free. Limited, unreserved seating. (714) 567-7234.
