Miami Coach in Hospital

Preki had a goal and two assists as the Miami Fusion defeated the New England Revolution, 4-1, Saturday night at Foxboro, Mass.

Miami Coach Ray Hudson was in stable condition after being admitted to a hospital after complaining of chest pains, dizziness and feeling disoriented.

Hudson, 46, was taken to Caritas Norwood Hospital, about 10 minutes away from Foxboro Stadium. Hudson left the Miami bench about 10 minutes into the second half with the Fusion ahead, 3-1.

Alex Pineda Chacon, Chris Henderson and Diego Serna also scored to help the Fusion (13-4-5) end a three-game winless streak in front of 12,003. Matt Okoh scored for the Revolution (6-12-5).

Columbus 2, San Jose 2--Ronald Cerritos scored two goals, but the Earthquakes blew two leads and played to a tie with the Crew before 8,119 at San Jose.

Jeff Cunningham and Robert Warzycha scored for the Crew, who are undefeated in their last eight matches. After a slow start, Columbus is 8-2-4 under new Coach Greg Andrulis.

Chicago 3, Tampa Bay 1--Eric Wynalda scored two goals and Peter Nowak added a goal and an assist as the Fire defeated the Mutiny in front of 20,677 at Chicago.

Central Division-leading Chicago (12-5-4) extended its home unbeaten streak to six games.

Dallas 3, New York-New Jersey 0--Antonio Martinez set a Dallas record with three assists and Matt Jordan had his league-leading eighth shutout in a victory for the Burn before 11,877 at Dallas.

In a Women’s United Soccer Assn. game:

New York 2, Washington 0--Gro Espeseth and Tiffeny Milbrett each scored a goal as the Power clinched a playoff spot with a victory before 8,033 at Annapolis, Md.

The win gave New York (9-7-5) 32 points, and the Power would finish third if Philadelphia (31 points) loses its final game today at Boston.
