King of Rock impersonators will flock to the Endless Summer Classic Car Show and Elvis Fest at the Orange County Market Place in Costa Mesa. Fifteen aspiring singers will compete for $500 and other prizes during the “Car-oake” contest. The karaoke-style performances will include best car song, best love song, best heartbreaker song and best overall presentation. Other activities in tribute to the anniversary of Elvis Presley’s death (Aug. 16, 1977) include a car show with vehicles similar to those Elvis had sold, bought and drove, entertainment by comedic Elvis impersonator Kirk Wall, a watermelon eating contest, a weenie roast and food booths.
