3 Held on Suspicion of Selling Cocaine, Pot

Three Oxnard residents have been arrested on suspicion of selling cocaine and marijuana out of a residence on M Street, sheriff’s officials said.

Paul Sanders Thompson, 35, Jonathan Garrett, 31, and Marisely Contreras, 25, were taken into custody Thursday after a monthlong investigation, said Sgt. Bret Uhlich of the sheriff’s narcotics division.

Thompson, who was also accused of being a felon in possession of a firearm, was being held at Ventura County Jail on $100,000 bail. Garrett and Contreras were being held on $50,000 bail.

Detectives said they served a search warrant on the residence after receiving a tip that illegal drugs were being sold there. They recovered $9,000 in cash plus cocaine and marijuana with a street value of nearly $12,000, authorities said.
