With “Dialogues in Contemporary Art: David Hockney,” L.A.’s favorite expatriate painter makes a rare lecture appearance discussing “Photography and Painting: Their Past Relationship and Their Future Relationship” at the Omni Los Angeles Hotel. The lecture is presented in conjunction with MOCA’s “Ralph Tornberg/Museum Director’s 2001/2001 Lecture Series” and the current exhibition “David Hockney Retrospective: Photoworks,” which is devoted to the innovative photographic works of the British-born artist.
