Repairs on 101 Freeway to Last for 25 Weekends
Caltrans kicked off a $9-million pavement rehabilitation project on the Ventura Freeway on Friday, which will close some lanes on the 101 for the next 25 weekends. Lanes will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 11 a.m. Saturday, and from 6 p.m. Saturday to noon Sunday, excluding holiday weekends.
On Saturday morning, three northbound and three southbound lanes will be closed from Valley Circle Boulevard/Mulholland Drive to Lost Hills Road. All will reopen at 11 a.m.
Starting at 6 p.m. Saturday, one to three northbound lanes will be closed along the same stretch, opening again at noon Sunday.
Drivers can get updates on the project, to be completed by July 2002, by calling (800) 427-ROAD.
