It Definitely Wasn’t Disappointing for Toms
With the news of the “disappointing” TV ratings for the PGA Championship, I hope we can now put to rest the erroneous media-driven theory that T. Woods has created a new and increased interest in golf. What he has succeeded in doing with the support of the media is to create a new and increased interest in himself.
If someone chooses not to watch a magnificent PGA Championship that was decided on the last putt simply because T. Woods was not in contention, then that someone is not a fan of the game of golf. Golf fans loved the PGA Championship last week; T. Woods fans should take note of this--you missed something pretty good.
