Better-Browning Pebble Pans

Share

The new Doughmakers heavy-gauge aluminum baking pans have a unique textured surface that makes for more even browning during baking. The “pebble pattern” surface is nonstick but will not scratch. The baking pans have a nice weight to them, with rolled and beaded edges to prevent warping or twisting.

Two Useful Sausage Flavors

Sausage-meister Bruce Aidells has two new flavors. Tasters in The Times’ test kitchen liked the distinct gingery taste of the teriyaki beef sausage and thought it would be great stirred into fried rice. Those that liked hot flavors thought the fajita beef sausage might be a little bland, but those who prefer mild flavors loved them. Serve the fully cooked sausages as is or add them to your favorite recipes.
