Exhibit Showcases Latino Artwork
The Studio Channel Islands Art Center near Camarillo is hosting an exhibit of works by Latino artists from Ventura and Los Angeles counties.
Mestizo Visions opens Saturday at the gallery on the Cal State Channel Islands campus and runs through Oct. 13. Gallery hours are noon to 3 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, or by appointment.
The exhibit teams pioneer Chicano artists, many of whom were instrumental in shaping the current Latino art scene, with relative newcomers.
