Patriotic Light Display at Griffith Park
Once again, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power has graced Angelenos with its exuberant, spectacular holiday light festival in Griffith Park. [The festival runs through Dec. 26; the hours are 5 to 10 p.m.]
The most touching new display of all is a giant American flag and the Statue of Liberty, proudly lit for our hearts and eyes to treasure. As you drive by this final display, turn down your radio, open your windows and you’ll hear the magnificent “God Bless America.”
I hope thousands of people will drive their families through this touching reminder of who we really are; a strong, proud, loving nation. Thank you, DWP! I know this will be a very special Christmas for all of us.
