Homeless Man Killed in Traffic Accident

A 63-year-old homeless man was killed and two pedestrians were injured Saturday after a car ran a red light and sent another vehicle over a downtown curb, police said.
The accident occurred about 7:30 a.m. at 5th and San Pedro streets, police said. A 28-year-old Huntington Park resident ran a light on 5th and broadsided a minivan driving south on San Pedro, causing that vehicle to jump the curb and hit three people, police said.
An unidentified homeless man died at the scene.
