Giving Is Better

The $390, two-night Ritz-Carlton Pasadena package (Weekend Escape, “Hometown Tourists in Pasadena,” Nov. 11) sounds good compared with what luxury hotels charge in good times, and maybe Diane Wedner’s $619.33 weekend was no strain. But another thing that people with this amount of money to spend might consider is helping a poor family or a child in need.
