Two men were arrested Sunday morning after they confronted an In-N-Out Burger maintenance worker at gunpoint, Tustin police said.

Oscar Gonzalez, 28, of Santa Ana, a former In-N-Out employee, and Alfonso Mario Arteaga, 36, of Covina were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy and attempted armed robbery, police said.

The maintenance worker, whom officials did not identify, told police that he was confronted outside the business about 7:30 a.m. by the suspects, who asked how to get into the restaurant, the location of security cameras and when money would be available, police said.

When the maintenance worker told the suspects that the manager would not be arriving until later to open the safe, the men fled in a white Ford F-150 pickup, police said.
