Booker to Visit Washington
Running back Lorenzo Booker of Ventura St. Bonaventure will take a recruiting trip to Washington this weekend.
Booker visited Florida State and is looking closely at USC. Trojan Coach Pete Carroll has visited St. Bonaventure twice. Booker also is deciding about trips to Texas, Notre Dame and Tennessee.
“He really doesn’t know where he’s going,” Coach Jon Mack said....
USC received a commitment last week from Clovis West’s Brandon Hancock, one of the best fullbacks on the West Coast....
Running back Jazen Anderson of Woodland Hills El Camino Real, brother of Atlanta Falcon running back Jamal Anderson, has committed to Fresno State.... Julian Petit, a wide receiver at Santa Ana Mater Dei High, has committed to Colorado State....
Nevada Las Vegas is bringing in three Carson players for a recruiting visit on Jan. 18--defensive tackle Mel Malele and defensive backs Jacob Canales and Kiogi Harden.... Santa Margarita offensive tackles Spencer Hollison (6-6, 270) and John Finneran (6-6, 285) have committed to Washington State and Villanova, respectively.... Quarterback Odell Howard of Pomona committed to UNLV.... Offensive lineman John Parada of Alta Loma committed to Arizona....
Student Sports magazine reports that Colorado State has landed defensive back David Beverly of Long Beach Wilson....
Track and field athletes Chaunte Howard and Tracee Thomas of Riverside J.W. North have signed with Georgia Tech and USC, respectively
