Festivities marking the eighth and final day of Hanukkah will be held Sunday at the Reagan library near Simi Valley and at the Janss Marketplace in Thousand Oaks.
Rabbi Noson Gurary of Chabad of Simi Valley will oversee a menorah lighting ceremony at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library beginning at 3:30 p.m. There also will be a display of menorahs from the library’s collection.
From 4 to 6:30 p.m. the Janss Marketplace will combine a celebration of the Jewish holiday with a tribute to heroes of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Along with a menorah lighting ceremony, there will be live music and traditional Hanukkah treats, including latkes and chocolate gelt.
Both events are free.
