Domestic Violence

Share

Lenore and Lee Edson died tragically one year ago. Since this painful tragedy, a thousand hands and hearts have extended their love to sustain us.

We would like to draw urgent attention to the tragedy of domestic violence. If we could scream at the top of our lungs just to have one person hear us, it would be worth it. In this tragedy, the violence of domestic violence occurred in the end. However, it was preceded by:

* Multiple childhood abandonments and low self-esteem;

* Insecurity and possessiveness;

* The feeling of loving someone so much that you can’t live without that person or that you are lost without that person;

* Unrealistic expectations, such as “If you love me, I am all you need and you are all I need;”

* Controlling behavior;

* Depression and threats of suicide.

Please, if you or someone you know has any of these qualities, help is available. Everyone involved in domestic violence is a victim, including the perpetrator. Do not stand by if you believe someone needs your help. You can make a difference!
