Denny Lambert can recite his first NHL goal with out hesitating.

“I was with the Ducks and it was at the Arrowhead Pond,” Lambert said. “It was against Edmonton. Billy Ranford was in goal. Shaun Van Allen had the first assist.”

Lambert has been with three teams, played 443 games and scored 24 more goals since. He got another for the Ducks Sunday in a 4-0 victory over the Phoenix Coyotes.

Dan Bylsma centered a pass and Lambert flicked it in with a backhand shot. It was his first goal since Jan. 6, 2001, when he was with Atlanta.

Vitaly Vishnevski, who left Friday’s game against Phoenix after being checked into the boards, did not play Sunday because of back spasms, a Duck official said. Vishnevski was run into the boards by Ladislav Nagy in the first period of Friday’s game and played only 5 minutes 55 seconds.

Vishnevski skated during warm-ups but was scratched just before the game.

“He was mad at me,” Coach Bryan Murray said. “He wanted to play after warm-ups, but he didn’t have all of his strength. The way he plays, I thought it would be best if we take a step back.”

Niclas Havelid, a healthy scratch the last five games, played in Vishnevksi’s place.
