Suspected Drunk Driver Shoots at 2 Officers
Police on Friday were seeking a motorist who opened fire on two motorcycle officers after they had pulled him over for suspected drunk driving.
The officers were dismounting when the suspect fired at them several times with a semiautomatic pistol late Thursday, said Los Angeles Police Sgt. John Pasquariello. They suffered minor injuries.
The gunman, who had a shaved head, sped away in a 1977 primer-colored Jeep Cherokee and apparently abandoned it about two blocks away from San Fernando Road and Terra Bella Street, the site of the shooting.
