Daniel Corso beat goaltender Patrick Roy with 4:10 left in overtime, lifting the St. Louis Blues to a 4-3 victory over Colorado on Saturday night at Denver.

Corso’s shot from just right of the net deflected off Roy, enabling the Blues to tie Colorado for the NHL’s best record. Both teams have 80 points.

Brent Johnson had 34 saves and Roy had 28.

St. Louis forward Pavol Demitra was taken to a hospital for treatment after he was cut in the leg by a skate in the third period.

Pittsburgh 5, New Jersey 4--Alexei Kovalev scored 18 seconds into overtime for his second hat trick in as many games for the Penguins, who came back from three goals behind at Pittsburgh.

Mario Lemieux’s back was bothering him so much that the Penguin star had to have someone tie his skates. Lemieux, who was limited to an assist and two shots in 19 minutes 15 seconds of ice time, expects to play today against Minnesota.

San Jose 3, Chicago 2--Bryan Marchment scored his second goal with 2:53 left in overtime as the Sharks beat the Blackhawks at San Jose.

Marchment, the physical defenseman better known for his hits than his scoring touch, scored his fifth and sixth goals of the season to establish a career high. It was the first two-goal game of Marchment’s 11-year career.

The Pacific Division-leading Sharks continued to struggle offensively while adjusting to life without suspended captain Owen Nolan. The game was San Jose’s first since Nolan received an 11-game suspension for his hit on Dallas’ Grant Marshall on Feb. 1. San Jose on Saturday night announced it will appeal the suspension.

Florida 7, Atlanta 3--Pavel Bure scored four times for the Panthers at Atlanta to take the NHL goal-scoring lead from Washington’s Peter Bondra. For Bure, who has 35 goals, it was the third four-goal game of his career.
