Team Communications Names CEO

* Entertainment-industry executive Michael Jay Solomon has been appointed chairman and chief executive of film production and distribution company Team Communications Group Inc. of Los Angeles, replacing CEO Drew Levin, who resigned. Acting Chief Financial Officer Jay Shapiro has been appointed president and chief operating officer.

The company also said it expected to take a $21-million charge against its results of operations for 2000. As a result, the company said, it expects to report a loss for the year of between $18 million and $19.5 million. The company also said it has a short-term liquidity problem.

* Kathleen Cecil has been promoted to vice president, marketing and station relations, at Fox Kids Network. She will oversee all communications with the 180 Fox Kids affiliates relating to promotions as well as market the network nationally and locally. She was previously executive director, station relations and promotion.

* M Squared Inc., a broker of independent business consultants, has named Robert Moore regional vice president of business development for its Los Angeles operation. Moore previously was sales director for Xerox Corp. M Squared is based in San Francisco.

* Children’s software publisher Knowledge Adventure, a subsidiary of Vivendi Universal Publishing, has appointed Stephen Farr-Jones to vice president of marketing and business development. He will focus on global expansion of its key product lines. Farr-Jones previously worked at IICaptain, an Internet-based marine and boating products business.
