A closer look at Isiah Thomas’ career:

* U.S. gold medal winner at Pan-American Games in 1979.

* Selected to 1980 U.S. Olympic team before a U.S. boycott of Moscow Games.

* Two-time first team All-Big Ten player at Indiana, leading Hoosiers to NCAA title in 1981.

* Second overall pick by Detroit in 1981 draft behind DePaul’s Mark Aguirre.
