Woman Found Dead in Apartment

Los Angeles city firefighters found a woman’s body Wednesday in a Watts apartment where there had apparently been a fire, authorities said.
The woman, believed to be in her 40s, was found in a bedroom in the apartment in the 10000 block of Beach Street, said Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey. The fire already had been extinguished when firefighters arrived about 8 p.m.
It was not immediately clear who extinguished it or what caused the woman’s death, authorities said.
