Shipping Delays Hurt Ditech:

Ditech Communications Corp., which designs and sells fiber-optic network equipment, said it will break even or lose as much as 5 cents a share in its fiscal third quarter because shipping delays hurt sales. Analysts had expected Ditech, which posted a profit of 41 cents in the year-ago period, to earn 46 cents. The Mountain View, Calif.-based company expects sales of $12.5 million to $14 million, down from $34.4 million a year ago. Ditech shares fell $3.59, or 34%, to close at $7.03 in heavy Nasdaq trading.
