CS Fullerton 64, Idaho 53--Ike Harmon led the Titans with 15 points in a Big West Conference victory in Moscow, Idaho.

The Vandals (3-12, 0-4) had a scoreless stretch that spanned nearly 10 minutes from the end of the first half until midway through the second. The Titans (2-12, 1-3) made the most of that lapse with a 15-point run to take control of the game.

Fullerton’s Josh Fischer also had a big night with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Leading the Vandals was newcomer Jerald Jenkins, who had 12 points. Matt Gerschefske finished with 11 points and Bret Wise had 10.

The Titans controlled the boards with Daniel Kohn pulling down a game-high 11 rebounds as the Titans took a 38-29 edge.

Santa Clara 78, Loyola Marymount 70--Playing on consecutive nights for the first time this season, the Lions couldn’t keep pace down the stretch in a WCC game before 1,494 at Gersten Pavilion.

The Broncos used a 12-4 run to break a 55-55 tie and held Loyola (5-10, 1-1) without a field goal for more than four minutes to decide the game. The Lions cut the lead to one point seven different times but never jumped ahead.

Steve Ross scored 17 of his career-high 22 points in the second half and had 11 rebounds to lead Santa Clara (9-8, 1-1). Kyle Bailey tied a season-high with 17 points off the bench.

It was Ross’ three-point basket with 5:52 remaining that gave the Broncos the lead for good. Santa Clara made 26 of 31 free throws.

Elton Mashack had 19 points and Marcus Smith added 17 for Loyola Marymount. Forward Greg Lakey struggled for the third consecutive game and had just four points.
