The Miami Hurricanes have six former players in the Super Bowl, and Giant linebackers Jessie Armstead and Mike Barrow have proudly mentioned it every time they have gotten a chance.
“People want to talk about Linebacker U and Quarterback U, but Miami is NFL U,” Barrow said.
The Ravens have four former Hurricanes: cornerback Robert Bailey, linebacker Ray Lewis, cornerback Duane Starks and offensive lineman Kipp Vickers. Penn State has the second-most former players at the Super Bowl with five.
“They’ve got six; we’ve got five,” Giant linebacker Brandon Short said. “But we’ve got better supporters. We’ve got more fans in Florida than they do.”
