Mike Faria, a 23-year veteran, won the scratch main event and Kitt Nay, 20, won the handicap main Saturday at Costa Mesa Speedway.
Faria grabbed the hole shot from the outside gate and held off Norco’s Ryan Fisher.
Faria got his chance after a fortuitous restart. He was last among five riders on the initial start.
