JULY 12-JULY 15

Art center gala and home tour: A tour of five homes on the Palos Verdes Peninsula decorated by members of the L.A. chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers will include three houses behind the gates in Rolling Hills.

A gala and wine tasting on Thursday night will kick off the Friday-through-Sunday tour.

Proceeds from the annual event will benefit the Palos Verdes Art Center and the American Society of Interior Designers charities.

Luncheon is available each day at the art center with reservation.

Location: Palos Verdes Art Center, 5504 W. Crestridge Road, Rancho Palos Verdes.

Time: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. for the home tour, Friday through Sunday; 7-10 p.m. for the gala on Thursday.

Cost: $30 for tour; $20 per luncheon; $125 for the gala, including home-tour ticket.

Community Assns. Institute: The topic of discussion at this monthly luncheon meeting will be “Hot Topics & Rumors--Attic Furnace Recall.”
