Fire Chars 15 Acres Near Getty Center

A brush fire Saturday afternoon charred about 15 acres of hilly terrain a mile north of the Getty Center and just west of the San Diego Freeway before firefighters contained it, authorities said.
The cause of the fire, which took 115 firefighters about an hour to control, was under investigation, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said.
There were no injuries and no structures were threatened, Humphrey said. The Getty Center was not affected by the fire, an official said.
